1. Call to Order at 6:01 p.m. – Dave
2. Approval of Agenda: Motion carried – Dave

• Approval of June meeting minutes: Motion carried following correction – Dave
  1. Minor correction re VII(a) Beautification Committee Carving Quest additional funds request:
     500. Request for additional event funding and materials (up to $500.00).
     501. Corrected: Request for additional event funding and materials (up to $500.00) to be paid out of operating budget.
  2. Treasurer’s Report and monthly financials – Jay
     1. Reviewed and approval of June financials: Motion carried.
     2. Reviewed preliminary July financials:
        1. July financials to be finalized following receipt of remaining bluegrass festival invoicing.
     3. July and August financials to be discussed and reviewed during September board meeting.

  4. Bluegrass Festival Recap – Eddie
     1. Discussed profit and proceeds from event and possible uses of funds:
        2025. Discussed possibility of establishing restricted funds account in preparation for 2025.
     2. Discussed accident report from festival and resolution.
     3. Discussed and clarified Des Moines Water Work’s property usage fee.
     4. Discussed future festival growth and location.

• BNA Insurance Policy 3-year Renewal re Bluegrass general liability policy – Dave, Eddie
  1. Discussed and reviewed existing coverage, reenrollment of policy with additional cyber risk coverage, and year-round liability coverage.
  2. Motion carried to add year-round liability and cyber risk coverage.
• Boy Scout Donation – Eddie
  1. Discussed donation to Boy Scout Troop for work during Bluegrass Festival:
     1. Donation to be paid out of Bluegrass Festival proceeds.
     2. Amount of donation TBD.
  2. BNA Scholarship – Craig and Jesse
     1. Discussed preliminary proceeds from tips and donations during Bluegrass Festival:
        1. Financials to be finalized following finalization of July financials and Bluegrass accounting.

        1. Cell Phone Tower Construction Delay – Dave
           1. Discussed construction delay and relocation of tower back to original location, Northside of Acanthus Lodge parking lot:
              1. Construction will begin after Fall Festival.
              2. Proposed location closer to Northside of Lodge not viable.
           2. Fall Festival Update – Dave
              1. Discussed need for volunteers for event.
           3. Holiday Happenings – Dave, Jay, Jesse
              1. Discussed reinvigorating and revising activities for event from prior years.

                 1. Tabled to collaborate and generate possible meeting locations.

                 1. Discussed possible revisions to existing bylaws to address mid-term appointments of future board members.

                    1. Discussed need for volunteers for event.
                    2. Discussed planned activities and last-minute change of performers during event.

                    1. Discussed planning strategic planning session to further analyze data cultivated from neighborhood survey and data walk:
                       1. Further discussed possibility of restructuring committees.
