CITYVIEW readers vote Beaverdale Best Local Community

CITYVIEW readers have voted Beaverdale as the "Best Local Community to Live In".

CITYVIEW'S Best of Des Moines 2024 contest offers thousands of readers the opportunity to vote on what they consider the best restaurants, bars, shops and places to live.

Under the category of best community to live in, CITYVIEW summed up Beaverdale as the winner, writing:

"The largest of all recognized neighborhoods in Des Moines, Beaverdale once again takes the award for Best Local Community to Live In, according to CITYVIEW readers. The storied brick homes, ample park space, and plenty of shops, restaurants and nightlife spots make Beaverdale a special place."

Congratulations also go to Christopher's as Best Beaverdale Area Restaurant. Runners-up were The Dam Pub and Motley School Tavern.

CITYVIEW readers also voted Beaverdale Books as Des Moines' best local new or used bookstore and as best Beaverdae area store.

Readers voted The Dam Pub as the best Beaverdale area bar, with runners-up being Beaver Tap and Cooney's Tavern.
