Part of Beaver Avenue to close

Part of Beaver Avenue from Hickman Road to Beaver Crest Drive will close for several days this coming weekend.

Beaver Avenue from Hickman Road to Beaver Crest Drive will be closed from 7:00 am Saturday, October 12 to 5:00 pm Sunday, October 13th. 

The city will be milling and resurfacing Beaver in that area.

A detour will be set up using Hickman Road, 30th Street, Leado Avenue and Urbandale Avenue.

The resurfacing project was originally scheduled to happen prior to the Beaverdale Fall Festival but event organizers asked the city to delay the project until after the September festival to avoid the problem of any delays interfering with the parade route.
