Storm debris pickup starts Tuesday, May 28

The City of Des Moines will begin picking up storm debris left at the curb on Tuesday, May 28th.

Please follow the guidelines:

• Branches and tree debris must be on the curb by 7:00 am on Tuesday, May 28
• Branches should be no longer than 10 feet
• Branches larger than 18 inches in diameter will not be picked up
• Debris should not block the road or sidewalk

Those who don't want to wait for curbside pickup can drop tree debris off for free on Saturday, May 25 at the city compost center, 1601 Harriet Street from 7 am to 2 pm.  Proof of Des Moines residence is required. Trailers must be single-axle only.
